Walsall is a town in the West Midlands which is part of an area known as The Black Country. Traditionally it was known as a centre for leathercraft and the Leather Museum celebrates this heritage.
The population numbers around 200,000 with the main employment being industrial. Many of the buildings in the Town centre date back to Victorian times but there has been substantial redevelopment in recent years.
